More catch up
Wow, work really gets me behind on my 'Blog...
Last Sunday (4/23) our local geocaching group got together to do some CITO (Cache In Trash Out) at three parks in Parma. I'm glad it started in the afternoon because if it was morning, I don't think we would have had a good turnout because of the long-walking, foot-aching event the day before. We did get a lot of trash (though the park didn't really look all that bad to begin with) - mostly wrappers and cups and stuff. And turnout was pretty good. geojamie13 & aanderso12 hid 4 new caches in the park for us to find as well (the park already had 4 - yeah an 8-fer). I got 3 of them, but by the time I got the last one my feet were done for the day.
On Monday, I decided to get the last one at the park. I parked at the back lot thinking it would be closer - nope. The fence blocked my way, though I evently found an opening into the woods where it was very muddy. Wish I had worn different shoes but I was so close I couldn't give up. Got that cache and took a dryer way out. Then headed to Fond Memories by BDStarcachers and another park that I've been to several times for caching. I think I made it harder by taking the steepest part of the hill, oh well. It was a nice cache and a very nice hide.
Thursday, I updated my geo-page to put up the embroidery sig items I'm working on for my final 78 caches to 2K. Why 78? Because that's how many different flowers are in my embroidery book. I've already got about 22 finished. I scanned a few others that I've already left in caches. I plan on updating the album with which cache they were placed in and who took'em (if they post that they did).
Otherwise, this week has just been about work, work, and more work...but the weekend is coming soon and then it's time for caching and some yard work.
